How can I do a ride-along with the Fairfax Police Department?
Each year the Fairfax Police Department receives many requests to ride-along with a police officer on patrol. Given limited personnel resources, the Department must prioritize which of these requests it can grant. The general purpose of the ride-along is to educate the public and open up the lines of communication with the community, thus fostering an environment of mutual trust and respect.
The Department will attempt to comply with requests for ride-alongs from members of the community and other law enforcement organizations whenever practicable.
If you would like more information on completing a ride-along, please call the department at 415-453-5330.
How can I obtain an item with an FPD logo on it such as a T-shirt or baseball hat?
These items may be purchased in person by visiting the police station.
Where can I get fingerprinted?
The Fairfax Police Department will fingerprint any person requesting to be fingerprinted. Call or come by for this service.
How can I contribute to the Fairfax Police Department?
We do not solicit funds over the phone. If you are contacted by an organization that claims to be representing FPD, please call the department at 415-453-5330.
If you would like to make a donation to the department or to the Fairfax Police Officers' Association, please contact the department.
Whom should I contact in the event of a natural disaster?
Depending on the nature of the problem, you may wish to consider calling the department business phone at 415-453-5330. If people are injured, or if there is fire, you should call 9-1-1.
